As of 2018, the number of monthly active Facebook users in the Netherlands remained unchanged, whereas the number of monthly active Facebook users in Belgium and Luxembourg increased. Belgium saw the greatest increase in monthly active Facebook users in the Benelux region in 2018, whereas in 2017 there were roughly seven million monthly active Facebook users in Belgium, in 2018 this figure increased by half a million.
