Clandestine entries at border-crossing points (BCPs) detected in the European Union from 2009 to 2017

The data displays the total number of individuals detected entering the European Union (EU) by hiding in vehicles at border-crossing points (BCPs) from 2009 to 2017. In 2017, the number of clandestine border-crossings amounted to more than 1.6 thousand, a decrease compared to previous years. Overall, clandestine entries had increased by 85% since 2009.
