Number of accepted grants of asylum in Germany from 2008-2016

The data displays the annual growth figures of successful grants of asylum for refugees in Germany from 2008 until 2016. Comparing 2008 to 2016, there has been an overall increase of around 426 thousand refugees successfully qualifying for asylum in Germany. The peak was in 2016 at approx. 434 thousand. Since 2008, Germany has accepted a total of 690,390 refugees.
