The data displays the annual growth figures of successful grants of asylum for refugees in Spain from 2008 until 2016. Comparing 2008 to 2016, there has been an overall increase of almost 6.6 thousand refugees successfully qualifying for asylum in Spain. The peak was in 2016 at approx. 6.9 thousand. Since 2008 Spain has accepted a total of 12,745 refugees.
