Monthly change in nonfarm payroll employment in the United States July 2018

The data displays the monthly change in nonfarm payroll employment in the U.S. The data are seasonally adjusted. According to the BLS the data is derived from the Current Employment Statistics (CES) program which surveys each month about 140,000 businesses and government agencies, representing approx. 440,000 individual worksites, in order to provide detailed industry data on employment. Total nonfarm payroll employment increased by around 157,000 in July 2018.
