The data displays the results on a survey question on the confidence about contactless payment security in the Benelux 2015-2016, by country. Of the Benelux countries, Dutch respondents are the most confident about contactless payments, with approx. 38% of the respondents indicating a level of security when using contactless payments. The European consumer on average, though, displays a greater confidence in this new technology than the consumers from the Benelux. NFC payments were introduced in the Netherlands in 2014 and mainly involves contactless payments made at points of sales, with either a debit card or a mobile phone or payments via QR codes.
